AA leader Sela calls opposition VMRO-DPMNE to not obstruct adoption of language bill

By submitting over 35,000 amendments to the language bill the opposition VMRO-DPMNE stands against the interests of at least one third of Macedonia’s population, Alliance for Albanians (AA) leader Zijadin Sela said Monday.

Urging VMRO-DPMNE to put an end to such policies, Sela said he had information that the party agreed on adoption of an identical bill when negotiating with the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI).

The definition ‘a language spoken by at least 20% of the population’ is also unacceptable for AA, Sela said.
